It was all about the election in this season’s finale of ‘Parks and Recreations’. Leslie Knope needed a recount to make it to the Pawnee City Council. Her main rival was. Bobby Newport and all she needed to defeat him she got in the twenty votes that came her way. It would have been twenty two if Jerry had remembered when voting was suppose to close. But Bobby voted for Leslie since voting for himself would have been illegal.

This actually means that Leslie did something illegal by voting for herself. But another good news coming from the network is that they would be renewing the show for another thirteen episodes to say the least. It is between that and a full season.
It was a good feeling watching Leslie fulfill her dreams. It was a befitting end to the season. Michael Shur the show runner had earlier talked about preparing for two ending because of the cloud over the show’s future. They wanted to make another one where she looses but they decided against that.
The show really found its bearings when it started making Leslie more seriously. It started a bit rough but once they found their character in Leslie they started getting things right. It was good they allowed her win. The scene where she showed some red eyes as she was about casting her vote was both touching and funny as Bobby was in the other booth asking for help in casting his vote.
And the season’s finale had a couple of scenes that were quite emotional. Ben been told by Leslie that he should go to D.C. was touching as well as Ron’s pep talk to Leslie. Ben is going to D.C. and Andy got to find out what he would like to do. It looks like Ann and Tom would get back together.
But Ben leaving seems to create a problem for his relationship with Leslie. They may have to do some shuttling to get the relationship on but it looks like both are willing. Ron turned down the chance of being the assistant City Manager. It was a truly enjoyable season finale.
